The university restaurants (called "restos U ") are located near major universities in Paris. If you are a student in possession of your card, these places allow you to make a complete meal for €3.15
The International Student Card is also accepted: you are issued a ticket for a meal at the restaurant counter. Price is then a bit higher. To invite a friend, no problem, but a price even a little higher (€6).
Some restaurants are open in the evening, on weekends and during vacations. Paris has 16 restos U and a dozen cafeterias.
