Paris has many types of transportation, including the metro, RER train, bus, taxi, autolib' (self-service car rental system), and vélib' (self-service bike rental system)

Metro, Bus & RER

The RATP & SNCF are the main operators for the metro, bus and RER in Paris. Download a metro, bus & RER map / Plan a journey
Tourists can buy many types of passes:
- Visit Paris: €11.15 for one day, with discounts for certain monuments and other benefits. Website
- Mobilis: €7 (1 day, metro, Bus and connections serving the airports, Bus line 183 and 285 for Orly Airport, Bus lines 350 and 351 for Roissy CDG Airport for selected areas)
- Navigo for one week: €18.45
- Navigo for one month or year: visit the RATP website. The Navigo pass for one month can be bought at any subway ticket office. You have to bring a photo and €5. You gain unlimited travel through all chosen areas. You can move freely through Ile-de-France (five areas) on weekends and public holidays. Interesting places to visit include the Palace of Versailles, Castle of Fontainebleau, and Museums and Monuments of Rambouillet.

Night bus: 47 lines of the bus Noctilien circulate every day of the year from 12:30am to 5:30am
